AMD FX 4350 @4.5 Ghz
AMD Radeon R9 270x Dual-X
4gb HyperX Blue Memory 1333mhz
MSI 970a-G43

I only get 20 fps on low and I get 15-20 fps on Ultra. How in the world does that happen. Also, in the configure menu it says 'Autodetect' and it puts all video settings to ultra. WTF. I tried all the tricks such as -winxp -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=4 -high -maxMem=4096 -noPause -noSplash -world=empty -maxVRAM=204 AND NONE HELP. Please help me

with your build, it is hard to say where the problem lies. arma is optimized like a rock, and has so many things that determine how well it will run. most games are almost solely dependent on the GPU, whereas arma is not. obviously, the gpu is a large part of it, but also needs good processing power too. (CPU speed is irrelivent).

i went from an amd 970 BE that ran at 3.5 ghz, but would run at 30 FPS on a good server with both a R7 xxx card and/or a R9 270x. the cards didnt change the outcome of the FPS.
Different servers would give me better FPS over another, but at the end of the day, i would average 15ish for a majority of servers. This was even with all of the possible parameters set, and quality all on low.

the games are very cpu intensive, and the 4350 just inst up to scratch im afraid :( also that 4gb of ram cant be helping much either. and the 270x isnt the most powerful card in the world either. so that fps is not surprising. but you should update to the latest drivers and see if you see any difference.

looking at your card on the cpubenchmark website, your chip doesnt perform much better than my old amd 970 BE. It is possible that you are bottlenecking CPU side. at the same time, it is possible that its the GPU too, but the GPU that you have should be more than enough to get better frames (assuming that you have the R9 270x instead of the R9 207x(typo in the original post?). with that GPU, you arent going to get high frames, but should produce more than 20fps with a better cpu
