I recently bought a pc from cyberpower and wanted to run gtx 760 in SLI, i got the pc few days ago and realized the mobo doesnt support SLI only supports crossifre, I called them and they said if i send the cards back they give me money back. what are some good cards on amd side that is equal to price and performance of 760. i was looking at 280x single card. is it better to go Crossfire with that card or just stay with one? Also can i use the same connectors that 760 used to install 280x. my mobo is asus z97k psu 750 watts cpu 4790k windows 7

Solution

http://www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Graphics-Card this guide should be fairly useful. To take the GPU out of the PCI-E slot, there is a little clip at the end that you need to pull back, and then you need to unscrew the screws at the back near the PCI slots.

If it only supports crossfire, and not SLI, it is likely that one of the PCI-E slots is bottlenecked at x4. This, with a semi-powerful GPU, will bottleneck it, so unless you want to buy a new motherboard, a single, more powerful GPU is a much better option. Also, the 280X is a more powerful card than the 760 (its extra VRAM is particularly useful in modern games), and if you are only playing at 1080P, then there is no point in two GPUs.

Yep, that should be more than enough, and will work fine with the rest of your system. Good luck!
