Hello, currently in my Alienware x51 I have a GTX 650Ti SSC from EVGA and I was wondering if the 750ti ftw would work in my pc. I only have the 240 watt psu but the 650ti is working great but had to underclock because of crashing. I know that this version of the card is 110 watts or so but the 750ti ftw is 85. I would just like to make sure that it will run perfectly fine! if not, i could always the normal 750ti which are only 60 watts. Thankyou!

Solution
It will work with something as low powered as the GTX 750 Ti. It would be a good match, actually - very little heat dumped in the small case. If it will run a GTX 650 Ti, it'll run a GTX 750 Ti. Total power draw on a FTW is only 85W.

Yeah its pretty slim, most compare it to the size of a xbox 360 heh. Its an external psu. when I got the pc it had a GT 640 which was pretty weak, so i got the 650ti and everything just boosted in performance. But with it overclocked to evga's settings it crashes, sometimes with out it too ( but every rarely).

it has an external psu?
i never owned a branded pc (build my own), so i am not sure if the boards they use are compatible with other cases.
if so, then maybe you can get a bigger case then a bigger psu also? then you will not be limited to what you can buy

i am unselecting my response by the way
