Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 DRAM LED and CPU LED

I've been trying at building my own set-up for the first time and I've been having a problem with getting the machine to POST.

Specs:
ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2
Intel i5 LGA 1150 3.5GHZ 6mb 4690k
EVGA Geforce GTX 970
Raidmax RX-630SS 630w
G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1333 MHz 2x4gb (8gb)
Hitachi 1TB Hard Drive

So when I boot it up, the DRAM-LED and the CPU-LED alternately light up and continue to blink. No matter how long I wait, no POST will occur and there are no BEEP codes. I've tried booting it out of the case and the same thing happens, but when I boot it with no RAM or GPU, I get the beep code for "No Memory Detected". I've checked the compatibility of the RAM and I'm positive everything is installed correctly. By looking at other forum posts, I tried the "MemOK!" button but to no avail, the system reboots and both the lights continue to flash.

I've been trying to fix this problem for two weeks and at this point I really am at a loss. In case it matters, I originally ordered an ASUS Z87-A and it came defective out of the box, but I failed to notice it so when I plugged everything in including the CPU and it didn't work, I noticed the CPU slot had bent pins so I immediately RMA'd it. I don't know if this could have affected the CPU because I'm using the same one on this Motherboard but it might be useful to know.

Welcome to Tom'sHardware Newcomer! :)

1| Even if memok doesn't work on your kit, I'm inclined to believe you haven't seated your kit, dual channel rams in the appropriate slots. I had the similar issue with my Maximus III Formula ages ago when I decided to put the black heatsinked rams in the black slots alone until the red light was lit up but never went out. Its not supposed to happen with all the kits but in reality if your kit isn't stated in the MemQVL then its best to populate the right most paired slots.

e.g:
slot 1, slot 2, slot 3, slot 4 --- self explanatory
you should populate slots 4 and 2 with your kit.

2| I would also suggest borrowing a PSU form a friend/neighbor/brother which is higher in wattage than yours to verify that your Raidmax isn't the issue.

3| I'd ask you to remove the cpu, turn it upside down and observe the contact points made by the pins on the CPU to observe if any patch seems off. A pic of it will help tonnes mind you.

4| I would also recommend reading through this thread:

5| Bent pins can damage a CPU, yes :(

Thanks for the quick responses, I really appreciate it.

So I had my RAM seated in the correct slots (2 and 4) and I couldn't tell you how many times I've tried re-seating them.

I did have a Corsair PSU (around 700w) but the old motherboard fried it (due to some technical issues and my own fault by letting the MB make contact with the case). Up until it got fried, I had no PSU related problems so I don't think it's a problem with the Raidmax.

Here's a picture of the CPU and the slot, as far as I can see there are no bent pins and everything matches up perfectly...

I do have an internal speaker fitted, and I know it works because when I boot with no RAM, it gives me the beep code for "No memory detected", so no help from that.

At this point I'm thinking my best bet is to return the CPU and see what happens from there. Thoughts?

Not right now I can't but in a few hours I might be able too. From my research I've done though, switching RAM from one MB to another doesn't affect it as long as their compatible.
