Got a new SSD (first time) and not sure if I want to fresh install or migrate using a software.

Would I be able to do a factory restore to set up my new ssd? And is a fresh install / factory restore basically the same thing? (Other then with factory, I think it comes pre installed with some annoying programs)

Also, as far as drivers, would I need to redownload the same amount if I were to factory restore OR fresh install?

Sorry about being a pest..I just want to be thorough and weigh in all my options. If I were to do a fresh install I would first need to copy my OS to a USB flash drive as I do not have the disk.

Thanks again everyone! :)~

A fresh install is best
Factory restore brings it back to exactly as it was when you bought it, with all the annoying crapware.

Yes, either way you'll have to reinstall all your applications.

And you don't copy your OS to a USB. You first locate the license key.
Then download the relevant OS ISO from here:

Burn that to DVD or USB.
Install
