When I start my pc it boots but cant connect to the hard drive or the external hard drive

Hi i have had a pc for 6 years and before this it booted and sent me a message that sayd: Cant connect to the hard drive. And now the pc boots the screen turns black and nothing else. I dont want to buy a new pc just because this

Sounds like your hard drive has died. :(
That means that you have lost everything that was on it, including the operating system and all data and applications. You can't access the external hard drove because your internal hard drive can't boot to the operating system. Get and install a new hard drive, then re-install all of your software, and you should be good to go.
