I currently have:

Motherboard: GA-78LMT-USB3

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 640 ~3.0GHz

RAM: 4GB

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5770

PSU: 550w

I'm looking at upgrading my RAM to 8GB and also 1 other piece, but I'm not sure what would give me the bigger performance boost.

I'm thinking either a AMD FX-4350 4.2GHz~ processor or a Radeon R7 260 1GB Graphics card, what do you guys think would be the bigger boost? I mainly play World of Warcraft and League of Legends.

This is a hard choice to make... MMO's and MOBA's tend to be very CPU demanding. The CPU upgrade will also improve the overall speed of any program running on your computer.

On the other hand, if you strictly go with FPS improvement, upgrading your GPU will probably give you the best result.

I think I'd go with the GPU upgrade first and try to upgrade the CPU and cooler later.

CPU and GPU upgrade will give you better performance boost than ram upgrade.

Your motherboard is compatible with FX-6300 and i'd personally go with that.
For graphic upgrade, I don't think it's worth spending money to upgrade from HD 5770 to r7 260. Maybe save a bit more money and get a R9 270 for a significant performance boost.

Hmm, I would like to agree but going by price I'd like to spend no more that £120 which makes getting both a CPU and GPU upgrade a slight issue as it would around £150, would of liked to get a different CPU cooler too, If i waited it would probably be another 4-5 months until i can get the money for both together.

If you could only purchase 1 now which would have the bigger effect? I can look at getting the other in a few months time.

Thanks.
