Windows 8.1 is taking lot of space on HDD day by day.

I have very limited amount of software installed on my PC and windows OS updates itself from time to time and that causes the problem to HDD space.

I have allocated 30GB of space for Windows 8.1 setup and software's and there is no extra data on this drive but now day day i am getting out of space on this drive. I don't know what really causes it but only option left is re install the OS.

Can anybody tell me the solution?

Have you tried using the built in disk cleaning tool to delete old versions of windows and installation files?
If not follow these steps:
1) Hit windows key + f
2) Make sure the search bar is on "settings mode"
3) Type in free up disk space by deleting unneccasary files and it will be the first one
4) After it does its scan then select "clean up system files"
5) Go through what it has found and delete what you see appropriate
