Hey guys, so I'm purchasing a GTX 970 and it comes with a free copy of ACU or FC4 and i don't know which to pick. I'm a fan of the AC series but I like the look of FarCry (never played a FarCry game tho). But my main question is what can you do after campaign in both games especially FarCry 4.

Solution
i wouldn't touch AC Unity at the minute, it flat out doesn't work properly. It's so bad in fact that ubisoft are offering a free game to anyone who bought the season pass as a way of saying sorry. As for the differences between the two apart from the obvious (AC is a third person stabby stabby game and FarCry is a first person shooty bang bang game.) they are very similar games, they both involve running around an open world climbing towers to remove the fog on the map but in FarCry you can attack outposts to unlock fast travel areas and you can go hunting animals to skin and then craft to increase the amount of weapon, ammo and money etc that you can carry.

Hey BalisticNinja,

I would say Far Cry 4 would definitely be the better option, especially with all the fps aspects of the game. To be honest, if you have ever played some of the previous AC, you would just think that this is just a different. Of course, each game has its pros and cons, but I'd say Far Cry 4 would be excellent.

Yes, yes, Far Cry 4 all the way because it's the best Far Cry, and since you've never played Far Cry, it will feel completely new.

It might actually be slightly too soon though depending on when you get it, because they just acknowledged a memory leak problem with the latest patch and are now working on a solution.

You can do some file edits and limit your game sessions to 1-3 hours as a temporary workaround. 1 hour if you have 8GB RAM, up to 3 if you have 16GB.
