Voltage Spike Concerns

I ordered a LED light to Molex connector online for added visuals for a custom PC and after connecting it to the PSU and powering on I heard a pop and the PC shut down. After removing LED I removed the header and noticed the pins were installed badly and the wires were touching between the connectors. I could also slightly smell burning.

My motherboard is an ASUS Hero VII and lights up partly when I power on with the code 00. The CPU light does not light up at all. I was able to RMA the PSU, but have not received it yet. I am concerned that my mobo might be damaged too, as well as the GPU, CPU, RAM and WIFI card which were installed during the time of the spike...

Any thoughts would be great as to what is probably damaged due this type of voltage spike. Hopefully, the PSU is the only thing damaged and only providing partial power to the mobo, but I fear that is wishful thinking.
