My old motherboard has busted and I need a new motherboard. I only want to put about $100 towards a new one. It needs to have the following features:

  • Full ATX board
    At least two way SLI/Crossfire compatible (preferably 2 PCI 3.0 ports)
    Support for 1600Mhz RAM
    USB 3.0 ports
    Light overclocking capabilities
    Decent brand

I don't have very much knowledge regarding motherboards so if I'm missing out on something important, made sure the one you suggest has it. My old motherboard, an Asrock Z75 Pro3's USBs just died out on me after two years. If I could stay away from a brand, unless this one was just a dud, it'd be Asrock.

PC SPECS:

Intel Core i5-3570k, MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB, 6GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical 1600MHz, Crucial M500 120GB SSD, Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM, Toshiba 250GB 5400RPM, Corsair CX430, Corsair 200R, Win 7 Pro 64x

Thanks everyone! Take care!

1) Your motherboard is still under warranty;
2) The motherboard is still offered at retail; and
3) Replacing the motherboard as a 'slide-ways' upgrade to a new chipset will violate the terms of your Microsoft EULA, thereby requiring the purchase of a new operating system.
