beginner build help

Hey guys, just wondering I have two Cosair cmv8gx3m2a133c9 4gb RAM and im thinking of getting the amd fx 6300 CPU would I need a memory upgrade aswell, if so any idea which would be best my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA - 78lmt-s2p with a radeon hd something 2gb GPU sorry not with my rig cant remember off top of my head

8 GB of RAM is sufficient for gaming and most other everyday work. Yes, the FX-6300 would be a good choice for that board. Was there something else you wanted to know?

thank you clutch. Just wanted to know I was making the right choice. Its my first build, a budget gaming pc, alot of people have alot of differnt opinions on hardware confuses me sometimes x)

If you already have the board, then the FX-6300 and a good gfx card will be a fine gamer at 1080p or less. If you don't already have the board, you may want to think about an Intel platform for more upgrade capability.
