Far Cry 4 hangs during load screen

I'm running this game from a Samsung EVO 840 SSD and have experienced almost no load times, but recently it hangs at about the 85 to 90 percent mark for any load sequence. I'm wondering what could have changed that is causing this.

i7 4790k @4.7GHz
16GB DDR3 vengeance @ 2244MHz
GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0

You need to have load times even on ssd. Same goes here, loads up to 90% then it takes some time and right up to 100%.

Maybe I am just not remembering correctly. It hangs now for 20-30 seconds. Even when restarting a mission. I seem to remember that being almost instant.

For me first loading when entering the game tends to be little longer but dying and restarting mission is almost instant. I can measure time but that 20-30sec seems longer than what i have here.

Every load screen is the same. It's taking around 30 seconds, even after I've been playing for a while. In between deaths or a new mission or anything takes what feels like forever. I remember "respawning" being instant.

If you're on the latest patch 1.5, monitor you RAM usage with Task Manager. 1.5 has a mem leak issue. It should take MUCH longer to start having issues with 16GB RAM, but at a certain percentage of RAM usage, sluggish load times and even system crashes are common.

They've acknowledged the mem leak problem and are working on it. For now you can revert to patch 1.3 if you have a backup copy of it, use the common file edit tweaks to improve performance, or limit the length of your game sessions.
