If you try to do both at a time and Windows doesn't boot you will never know which failed will you? Chances are very high that if Windows failed to fully boot and you were trying to unlock a core the core is bad. The cores are usually disabled for a reason. To either meet demand for a certain cpu or the cores were defective. Mostly because the cores failed quality assurance tests.
