Upgrade to 4790k

I am thinking of upgrading to the the Intel 4970k from my AMD 9370 since they're on sale for the holidays($300 on newegg). Looking at benchmarks, it looks like I will get a considerable performance bump. I have been somewhat unhappy with the gaming performance of my AMD chip and its overclocking abilities. Is it worth the money for the upgrade(plus a new mobo)? Would I be better off just waiting for the next iteration of Intel processors?

1) I would say no, 8 threads doesn't justify the $100 difference between i5 and i7.
2) What are you using it for?

Even though the fx 9370 is an okish cpu for the price, if you already have it then keep it. It's still powerful enough to making a upgrade to i7 pretty much useless.

Still not sure if I'm willing to drop $300+, but this benchmark(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDVcpAhegWs) makes it look like the 4790k would be a pretty big leap forward(30 fps+ jump in some games). What do you all think?
