Hey guys this is my first time building a computer. i am trying to make a computer in which i can play games on my computer such as dayz on settings which are fairly high, i know in my price range i wont get anything amazing. also i would like to edit some videos to put onto youtube.

If he's going to be editing videos, I suppose the i5 would be a better choice. But I think your upgrade form the 750 ti to R9 280 is a smart choice, and that PSU is a great find.

This is just based on my knowledge, but in terms of video editing, an i5 would be better, even if the GHz are slightly lower.
