My Samsung Super-WriteMaster SH-223C reads anything, but DVD9 !!!
It reads any CDs or DVDs, but DVD9. So I spent 2 days to find its drivers or firmware, obviously most websites, including Samsung site, lead me to download "Utility Drivers Finder" that later on force me to buy in order to fixing this.
After disappointed to Samsung product support, I finally decided to replace it with ASUS DRW-24B1ST ($20).
