Bought Windows 8.1 OEM, Motherboard shorted out a few days later, got a new motherboard, now Windows says my key is invalid...

Title pretty much says it all. Is there any way I am going to be able to use the Windows 8.1 OEM version? Will Newegg send me a new OS for free since their faulty motherboard is the reason that I might need a new OS?

have you tried the Phone Verification, I've been above to use the OEM to reinstall after a new motherboard using it. Has beenm a few years since I last tried, but might be worth it.
