A fragmented drive causes Explorer (My Computer File Browser) to lock up because it is trying to create image thumbnails for the massive amount of folders and pictures. How can force it to stop trying to cache thumbnails and file explorer details? It worked fine after Scan Disk and Index repairs with default list mode. Switched it to Thumbnail view and now it locked up and takes ages to respond|won't respond. I'm hoping for maybe a command prompt etc. type of way to tell it to stop.
