Ever since I updated to windows 8.1 I can't connect to the internet on my laptop

I have found the download http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g580-notebook
But as my laptop can not connect to the Internet, how will I download them and what would I do when downloaded? At the moment I am using my phone to browse. Thanks for the reply as well!

From another PC, download and save to a USB stick.
The correct driver doesn't have a download, broadcom is the one I need to download and it doesn't have one .. If you go through all the right stuff on the Lenovo website (g580) (LAN wireless) and look at Broadcom it doesn't have the download ..
but how do I check for that?
