Hey,
Is Intel i5 better than AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphic 1.30 GHz for gaming? And can i play FPS games with Intel i5 in my laptop?

The intel i5 cpu is better than the cpu in the amd e-300 apu, but we need to know what graphics card (integrated or not) comes with the intel i5 to tell you. You need some sort of graphics card to play games. Can you put in a link of the specs of your laptop or the one you intend to buy?

The i5 (Haswell) will easily out perform the E300 and cost more.
The E-300 APU did well against the Atom of the time and that was about 2 years ago.
The E-300 is better suited for games like StarCraft ][ where lower FPS (frames per second) don't look as bad. (but the small AMD APUs also won't stutter like the Atoms at the time)

Even with a i5 with HD4400 or HD4600, your choices of FPS games are limited.
You can play older FPS games like Battlefiled2. But it will struggle with newer titles.

If you want to play newer FPS games on integrated IGP graphics, then you need to wait for Iris Pro with eDRAM on Skylake or the AMD equivalent (think Zen late 2015) to go mainstream.

The integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics core in the AMD E-300 mobile APU is very weak. There is no comparison even to Intel HD 3000 graphics core found in Intel's 2nd generation Sandy Bridge Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs. The 3rd generation Intel HD 4000 is about 35% more powerful than the Intel HD 3000. The 4th generation Intel HD 4400 probably add another 25% of performance.

The AMD E-300 was considered underpowered when it was newly released.

Here is a link to a youtube channel of games being played on the Microsoft Surface Pro 1, 2, and 3. The Surface Pro 1 and 2 uses Intel Core i5-4200u / i5-4210u CPU with the Intel HD 4400. The Surface Pro 3 uses the newer Core M 5Y70 with the Intel HD 5300. The Core M 5Y70 CPU is a bit slower than the i5-4200u / i5-4210u, but it uses less power and does not need a fan to keep it cool. The Intel HD 5300 is more powerful than the Intel HD 4400 though.

Actually, the person seems to be using different models of the Surface Pro 3 so some of the videos with the Surface Pro 3 may use a CPU that is not the Core M 5Y70.

Note, you are seeing the actual performance of the Intel HD 4200, Intel HD 4400 or Intel HD 5300 (depending on the model) because he is using hardware to record the video. He is not using software (like FRAPS) to record gameplay.
