Hello, my computer freezes suddenly and i want to know what is the origin of the problem to send it to reseller for warranty use. I've formatted the computer but the problem keeps happening. The computer freezes sometimes at startup, other times when playing, others when viewing videos on youtube (the sound freezes too), then i need to power off him and power it on. i dont know where the problem comes from!

Specs:

CPU: A10-5800K Black Edition 4.2 GHz
Mobo: ASRock FM2A75 Pro4+
PSU: 1Life: 600W
RAM: 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz CL9 1.5V
Hard Drive: 1TB Western Digital Blue 7200rpm

Please somebody help!

The problem is that i bought the computer by pieces so I need to know what component is wrecked to send only that one to warranty.

I would just simply start at the top and trouble shoot down the list. My A10-6790 gave me fits when I first started using it. I was having idle temps around 60* C. I had to work out the fan profile in my bios (I blame the gigabyte mobo I am using). The APU's run hot so make sure your temps are in check. After that I would try the two easy ones. Test your memory and test your hard drive. Memtest86 for memory (or Window's stock memory tester), and Western Digital Diagnostics for your hard drive. IF they both check out ok it is most likely your PSU as stated above.

The temperatures can't be the problem because when idle it's at 35ºC and playing reaches maximum 65ºC. I will do the Memtest86 and the Western Digital Diagnostics to see if one of those two is the problem. Can the PSU be the problem, and why you think it's most likely the problem? Why can't the mobo be the problem or the CPU?

I believe he and I are both leaning towards your PSU because it isn't a quality PSU, while your other components are known to be of a good quality. Especially the Western Digital drive over Seagate, good choice! Motherboard problems don't normally manifest themselves as the symptoms you are seeing. Mostly they just won't work if there is a problem. The CPU if running at the proper temps has a similar story and would probably not cause the freezing.

Does your computer normally run well when it doesn't freeze? Does it lag or operate slowly and then freeze, or does it run fine and then all of a sudden lock up. It is hard to diagnose a problem without more details, but memory and hard drive are where I would start and then work from there.

I agree with beezy. Western Digital in my experience has the more reliable drive in regards to both dead on arrival drives and longevity. I have been using both side by side for many years and seagate consistently has a higher failure/doa rate (although DOA is rare for both). That being said the drive may have been dropped, thrown around, or damaged before it ever made it to you so testing it should be your first step.

If it and the memory pass testing try a different PSU. AMD processors are thirsty and won't tolerate under-powered conditions.

My mobo is going to warranty because the ps2 port isnt working, when i plug my mouse to the ps2 port it has energy but when i move it nothing happens on the screen. So mobo is going for sure. Then the question is about the PSU ... No, the computer runs well but suddenly it freezes and i cant do nothing, for him to work properly i have to shut him off the the cable and then power it on!

Yes, but the problem is that it freezes and doesnt unfreezes!! Yes the PSU is not a quality one (it was very cheap) so Im starting to guess he his the problem...

Yes i know, the problem is that the mouse was working fine when i built the computer, after some time i bought an usb mouse, today tried to test the PS2 mouse and nothing happened. I restarted him several times and no signal from the mouse to the computer.

honestly see if you can get your money back somehow. that PSU probably cost like 30$. You want a quality PSU from Antec, Seasonic, XFX, EVGA, or even Corsair, all of those would be leaps and bounds better than the 1life. Go for something 80+ bronze certified at minimum

Computer passed on memtest86+ without any errors. Than the problem is the PSU right?

I don't want to sound candid, but is it an option you may consider returning some of your setup: the power supply, motherboard and processor. We have very similar builds and I inherited it because a customer was having issues like yours with shutdowns and freezes that grew more frequent. This was a business machine and they needed it to be reliable and returned quickly. We suggested they H81 board a modest i5, they agreed and wanted nothing to do with the old parts. This was in mid November and I have been playing around with it ever since.I just now finished getting it setup the way I like.

My old setup was an AM2+ Athlon on another Gigabyte board with the same Ram Kit, PSU and drives I am using now. I love AMD but am highly unimpressed with the APU's. The new AMD Athlon X4 860K looks promising and I am going to try it, but at this point for "just works" I would have to recommend an Asus board, and i3 and a 750 ti or R9 270x.

the VS and CX series from Corsair are nothing to brag about...but it will be better. Just dont be TOO surprised if you have power supply issues with that unit too, at least after a year or so.

I would like to change my system, the problem is that i dont have the money to buy an I5 and a 750 ti or R9 270X. For now i'll be satisfated if this build comes good from warranty (the psu is the one going to warranty). Another thing is that i tryed the PS2 mouse again and then pressed my reboot button on the computer and it works, dont know why it didnt worked when i shuted him off and the boot it on!

So at the end what your saying is that the problem is obviously from the power supply right? Meaning that the CPU and Motherboard don't have any problem.

Once again I agree with Beezy. And for the record I just recommended an i5 to our customer because they did not need a graphics solution. In your case I would go with an i3 and the r9 270 (not the x version) because it will outperform your APU and still be relatively affordable.
