So, i just noticed this, dont know when it started. When i change the volume of music/videos that i listen to online, there's crackling and popping...It's really anoying. What could be the issue? I'm using google chrome, but i've already tested it on IE and it's still there...

Sometimes the C1e and C6 power states can cause issues with audio (something about CPU frequency causing it to crackle, idk). Might not be a bad idea to try disabling the C1 and C6 states in the motherboard BIOS if you can, and see if that helps. Also try connecting in both the back of the PC (direct to mobo) and in the front (using the case). Make sure the motherboard has its HD audio/Ac97 connected properly and securely.

That's the first thing i checked, no crackling but it does pop once when i fast forward to something(im pretty sure that's been there since forever).

what are the rest of the specs of the PC? what are you using for audio? have you tried a new audio system to see if its the speakers and not the PC?

I've tried using the same headphones on a macbook and everything was fine.
