I a agree . The MSI 970 Gaming does have a slight edge in features. The Power Phase is 6+2 opposed to the M5A97 R 2.0 4+2. I believe Asus uses 5K Capacitors on their Mainstream boards. Which is still good and higher than many other Motherboards which use 2K.. MSI probably has the same quality as Asus for capacitors, i would think. I like Asus's UEFI layout myself but essentially you get the same options for any 970 Chipset MB. If your not overclocking you could probably go cheaper and get 760G Chipset motherboard. ie GIGABYTE GA-78LMT or similar. But the MSI 970 is probably the way to go
