Hi all, decided to ask here if anyone knows why my Asus Z87 Pro Rig (16Mb Ram, 9290x graphics, SSDs) is beeping every few seconds? 1 single beep. The rig starts up ok, I sometimes see a memory error when shutting down, but have tested and reseated the memory several times. Windows Mem Diag shows no errors. It's driving me nuts! I have PC running standard XMP and 3 Fans, so not getting overly warm (CPU about 48C). HELP :)

John.

Hi, An option would be disconnecting the case speaker, but I guess that you'd like to solve the signaled error.
If starting the board with single RAM module installed, monitor connected to the onboard, only DVD drive connected and booting let's say from an Windows DVD, still getting the repeated single beep?

Hey all, thanks for the replies. Was going to try just 1 stick next. I went out for 2 hours and got back to a silent PC ... it is most odd! Just randomly seems to start beeping once in a while, just this week it was everyday for hours. All quiet at present?? As stated I have 3 fans, so I really don't think it is getting too hot (unless the Asus Fan expert is just bleeping at say 45C)?

Ah well, if I ever get it fixed I will advise back.

Thanks for all the answers.
J.

My Asus z170 motherboard is doing a light beep every 3 seconds.. I thought maybe it was maybe a fan rubbing, or??? it isn't a strong beep, week, but a beep... the computer runs great, I use it for very computer power hungry combat flight sims. I use Windows 10. it has G.Skill ram and mostly high end components. I don't get any errors. There are extra features I do not use, like extra lighting for flashy lights in the GTX1060 video card. I just don't use that stuff, no overclocking. Well the memory is set at XMP. But, that's the farthest I take it as far as options in the bios. I know this thread is old. I also have another Asus motherboard Z68 which has run great and gave it to my wife, and continue running great, but in all my life never heard this little annoying beep. it started maybe a couple months ago, but finally decided it should not be doing that.. Any ideas? Thanx in advance!!!!
