sshd in raid 0

i have 2 2t sshd in my pc and i want to set them up in raid 0 without loosing all my data and programs. If I do a full backup to an external drive and then set them to raid mode can i use the backup to restore my system to the way it was before but in raid 0.

Then, if Windows 7, try running the Microsoft fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976 ,
install the RAID driver, backup the HDD using an application that does support RAID,
set SATA to RAID in BIOS, configure the RAID array, and restore the image.

Be sure to make regular backups, a 2-drive RAID 0 array is twice as likely to fail when compared to a single drive.
