I'm building my first gaming rig and I need a good, reliable and mechanical gaming keyboard (preferably without macros). I had previously had my eye on the SteelSeries 7G but it just went way up in price. I am looking for a good looking and well performing keyboard for mainly gaming but also browsing, etc. My price range is about £50 (about $80). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Tt eSports Poseidon ZX comes with either brown or blue switches. its about 70$. It's Ten key-less, and has back-lighting. it does not however have macros, as I was not able to find one with macros in your price range. Although if your willing to save up 20 more Dollars, you can get the Blackwidow Ultimate which has the Numpad, and Macros.

Don't get a Razer keyboard, lots of people seem to be having issues with them and their switches are apparently 'crap'.

A (sort of) cheap mech keyboard I'd recommend is the CM Storm quickfire ultimate, it's a full size keyboard and even has backlighting. It's a really sturdy keyboard which gives it a solid feel and it performs really well imo. It doesn't have any macro keys though, I never needed them though so this keyboard is good enough for me.

I've never had any issues with it, I Love the switches, and they've been good to me.
