Hi everyone, i think i already made a thread like this in the past but that was a while ago and in that time the build i wanted to use mostly changed.
But anyways back to the topic, i was wondering if this build seems alright.
I never built my own pc and i don't know much about it so i need some help.
I want to know if all these components fit in the case. Also, if you know, let's say, a better motherboard in my build that might be cheaper or the same price then please let me know, i want to make an extremely good gaming computer while it still being atleast a little budget friendly.
Thanks in advance!

Case: Corsair Carbride 300R Mid Tower

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0

PSU: Corsair HX750

RAM: Vengeance pro 8 gb

Motherboard: Asrock Z97x Killer

Hard Drive: WD 1TB Blue

SC: Asus Xonar DX/XD (also, is a soundcard really needed if you use speakers sometimes but mostly a headset?)

aftermarket cooler: phantex PH-TC14PE_BL

Monitor: ASUS VG248QE

Your build looks pretty good, a few recommendations perhaps....

CPU: i5 4690k, if your mostly gaming this CPU will serve you well for a good number of years, has great per core performance. The I7 may gain you a few FPS in some games but the extra $100 is not worth it.

RAM: something at 2133 with a CL 9 in 2 x 4GB, G.Skill also makes good memory.

HHD: why a Blue drive, I would grab a WD Black drive @ 1TB, also a SSD in the 256GB range, maybe a Crucial MX100 as they are a very good buy per GB and performance is fine.

SC: not really needed

Cooler: If your going BIG air then the new Noctua NH-D15 out performs the Phantex......

Just some thing to think abou, maybe build it...

First of all i really wanna thank you for your replies man, can't explain how helpful they were for me. You even made a build for me wich is amazing. Just a small thing i think i'm gonna change is the SSD. I know an SSD is really good but i have no idea if i'd actually need more space than a terrabyte. So what i wanna do is just not include the SSD and get the 1 tb Caviar Blue. You think that would work?
Thanks in advance.
