if you increase your budget to £400 you would basically get more ram, a better graphics card, and a power supply that will run it. going from the 750ti to an r9-270 would be quite a noticeable performance increase.

To play Battlefield 4 on ultra I suppose you'd need at least a 280x. That alone is going to cost you at least £150. I can't see you building a pc for that purpose with £300 as a budget. SLI is when you pair 2 or more Nvidia cards for better performance. Crossfire is the same, but with AMD cards.

Sorry I shouldn't have put that part. I meant I'm not looking for a PC of that quality. I didn't make it clear enough.

I think you're making a step in the wrong direction. You're trying to pay as little as possible for a AAA video game that requires stronger hardware and a decent budget. For BF4, I think the minimum budget is 450 quid and that's only going to get you low resolution low settings gaming.

In my opinion, you shouldn't build a PC. Just buy a console and play the game there.

Haha, my fault. I didn't see the "not" over there. My advice is for you to check the performance of some mid range video cards on youtube and build your pc around it. I'd start by checking the 750 Ti.
Just to remember, the ps4 has a video card that compares + - with the HD 7870, but its games are much better optimized than they are for pc. In other words, to play a "x" game with the same config you need more horsepower on pc due to lower optimization. The problem with videogames is that you have to pay a lot for everything you play. On pc, the same happens "just in theory".

thats about the best your going to get on your budget. down the road you will want to throw in another 4gb stick of ram for a total of 8gb.

+1; that is the best gaming build you can get for 300 quids!

Wow thanks. I can increase the budget by around £100 if need be. Would getting more ram be as simple as buying 2x the 4gb you suggested?
