Hi, i have a very weird problem. My computer doesn't seem to work with my nvidia 660 card except in safe mode but my asrock z77 extreme onboard intel 4000 work's with no problem's. I tried every program & fix that i found on here including, memtest, shutting off onboard card making my nvidia primary, fresh install, fresh driver install full uninstall nvidia driver's, memory diagnostic tool, getting a new nvidia card different anti-virus's, malware bytes & so many more thing's. Here is were it get's weird, i connected my hdmi into my mother board as well as made my onboard card primary as well as kept my nvidia card installed. So now my computer use's the nvidia card as well as my onboard card. The problem is it doesn't use the full power of my nvidia card when playing game's but it use's it for my desktop. My intel is used for games with alittle bit of my nvidia card reason why i say that is because with my intel card alone games skip to the point of being unplayable but now the skip is very little but still enough o make it alittle hard to play but game's are playable now just barely. One last thing nvidia company said that they did testing on my nvidia card & they didn't find anything wrong with it but again it only worked in safe mode with me the only way i get it working now is doing what i am doing now with my onboard card. I also did temps & they don't go any higher than 49 & no lower than 38 on both cards Please Help.

Specs
geforce gtx 660
intel core i5-3570k
corsair cx 600
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Onboard gpu intel (R) 4000
i also don't have another gpu or computer to try these thing's on.

Solution
I found the solution & it was so simple. I had to raise the TDRDelay to 9 my computer didn't have enough time that's it. Hvaen't had any problem's since & i can play all my games & use my nvidia 660 as primary again.
Also weird colors is usually a sign of a failing gpu but your case doesn't sound so simple. Ideally you could test the gpu in a different machine..I'm also suspicious as to the psu. Not a big fan of cx units specifically the 430w and 600w models..can't jump to conclusions though

Thank's for responding. I tried that already & it didn't work. I also read that color's mean's failed gpu but it's not a failed gpu because nvidia did testing on it & there was nothing wrong with it. This all started this year i built my computer two years ago. I also should have mentioned the red light next to my power button stop's blinking before it lock's up & it alway's happen when i play any game & very rarely while i'm not.

No because i tried every single driver up to the recent one which is the beta & all had the same effect. I was thinking that maybe it's my mother board because of my 660 not working unless it's in safe mode but that wouldn't explain why the intel one is working or why 660 only work's in safe mode. So i know it's not that either & the nvidia company said it might be my mother board but again that doesn't add up.

possibly a failing pci port yeah, can you test the gtx in a buddy's rig? it would make sense as to why it worked in nvidias warranty center but not your pc
