I think my build sucks. But I can't tell.

Hi everyone. So I'm completely new to this PC building world. I know the individual components and what they do, but I wanted some advice from experienced folks on how I can improve my build, one way or another. I want to turn this into a solid gaming build.

CPU: AMD FX 6100 six core
Fan: Thermaltake cl-p0503
Graphics: Geforce GTX 750 ti
Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P23 FX
RAM: Patriot Viper Xtreme 4gb (x2)
Power Supply: Thermaltake 450 Watt Power Supply TT-450NL2NK
Case: Thermaltake VM54521N2U Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower

I bought the graphics and RAM myself, and everything else was salvaged off old computers from a friend's office. I could probably get rid of the Thermaltake stuff.

In any case, I don't have a hard budget but I'm not looking to make huge upgrades, especially not on the graphics card. I want to bring up the weaker components to complement the stronger ones, which I'm assuming is really just the CPU and GPU. That being said, I'm open to any and all advice on this. Thanks!

Solution
It's really descent, will suit you well for playing some older PC games on ultra settings. CPU is perfectly fine, I see no bottlenecks. RAM ain't the best but will be fine.

if you want to future proof your PC id say get at least a 600 watt. 450 just wont do it if your ever want to even think about overclocking or adding another GPU after a while. Rest looks good to me

If he went Intel he could stick with the PSU but I think you're right, AMD will require more power.
