Is the i5 4690k stock cooler quiet?

Does anyone know about the noise levels of the i5 4690k stock cooler? I figured if i'm not going to overclock then why spend extra on something else, but I need to know is the stock cooler loud or not?

i would say so since it uses a small fan at high rpms(pretty sure still the same intel heatsink is used like every other one of thier oems?), never overclock on a stock cooler they are junk. a bigger heatsink and bigger fan = better cooling, more airflow, with less noise

The intel stock cooler is really silent unlike AMD's. So you don't need to worry about it. I use it myself and I can barely hear it.

oops sorry I read that wrong i thought you said you were going to overclock. yeah if not overclocking it is pretty quiet, on boot they usually ramp to 100% for about 2 seconds until it starts up.

theyre fine but once i put fan speed to 51% or more its more noticeable, might not be the same for you, i have a new case coming tomorrow so i can fit my corsair h55 water cooler.
