Alright, so about 3 days ago I started my DDO Launcher to update the game to the current Version. After it downloaded most files it started doing this Thing it called ''loading game logic'', maybe it said Caching instead of loading, but whatever. I noticed that when I tried to start any other program, even just Open a Folder, my Computer would lag like a bitch and I'd have to get the taskmanager to Close the patcher. I let it run over night and the next morning it seemed the game had been done ''loading that gamelogic'' and life went on as usual. But then the next day things got weird. My pc would have a hard time executing RAM-intensive programs, and it got worse and worse. At the end of the day I couldnt even browse the web anymore without havinbg to shut down my pc (btw I have a Laptop not PC for that matter). Yesterday it was so bad, I would merely open Folders and after some time the Desktop would stop reacting, the whole Explorer crashed and not Event he Task Manager could start or stop programms anymore. I was left with a big bright blue colored wall of nothing (Windows 8 theme Background, ist set to lightblue) I was thinking about wiping all my personal files from the pc, leaving only my OS. Should I do that?

Its an ASUS F75A, I still have about 100 GB free on my harddisk, 60 GB on C and 40 on D, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, OS Windows 8.0, the game is DDO from the original Website (because Free To Play) I dont think ist a Virus because my pc works much better in safe mode. So Im seriously considering wiping my harddrive

If the rig runs well in safe mode then most likely Malware (can get MalwareBYtes they have a free version) and run it, or possibly an errant program or driver (check start up for unneeded programs and check that your drivers are up to date for mobo, graphics, network adapter, GPU, etc.)

I checked with MalwreBYtes, no results. Same for checkin my start-up programms, nothing unusual. I dont think it's the Drivers, as the Problem occured after DDO patching. Should I remove DDO from my pc?

It worked! I don't know WHAT happened, but Im sending them a big fat complaint letter about how their game broke my pc while patching. Thank you VERY much for your efforts though!
