Booting from HDD rather than Windows Boot Manager results in DOS/Command Prompt

I just formatted my computer and noticed a few differences when I got it running again. I had only had the computer running for about a week, so there wasn't really any major changes, I just had to format to reallocate some space that was in a separate partition.

Anyway, once I formatted, I got everything up and running correctly, but one thing I did differently was install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver manually from their website rather than from my installation disc that came with the mobo. The driver that came on the disc only recognizes 2TB HDDs for some reason, and mine is a 3TB so I had to download the more recent version and it recognizes my 3TB HDD just fine.

However, I tried to set my BIOS to boot from my HDD, but when I do, it just leaves me at a DOS/Command Prompt saying "C:\". I used to boot from the HDD before the format just fine, but now I have to boot from Windows Boot Manager to get it to work.

The second thing is rather minor, but before the format the boot screen would have the Windows icon while the dots were colliding, but now it says ASRock instead. Is this because of the Windows Boot Manager?

I should also add that before the format I almost positive I did not have a Windows Boot Manager option in BIOS. Where does this come from?

As i see it the DOS Boot manager is faster &more reliable. I tried easyBCD and the only thing it can do is corrupt your disk or make it slower or nothing at all.

Just stick with the DOS one, it's ain't worth the trouble of changing it to something else.

I installed the easy boot program, but I do not see an option to boot from the hard disk, just Windows 8.1. Is this equivalent to the HDD or Windows Boot Manager?
