I've been using a Dell keyboard and mouse I had lying around for my personal custom computer for close to a year now, but I feel like buying new ones to last me until they completely break apart. My current Dell mouse isn't too bad, being quite comfortable and having a button to adjust between 4 different DPI settings (but I have no idea what's the exact DPI for each setting on that mouse - I just left it on the 2nd highest as it's fast enough to move on my 32-inch display). However, the plastic is getting broken now after excessive use and it's becoming uncomfortable for the tips of my fingers.
I'd say that my budget for.a keyboard and mouse is between $150-200 total. I don't want to spend more than maybe $80 on either. For the mouse I've been thinking of getting the 'Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable All-Purpose Mouse', which costs $59 plus shipping at PCCaseGear which is where I intend to buy it from. As for the keyboard I'm not sure what's a good brand that isn't too expensive, and I'm unsure of the benefits I'd get from a new keyboard. There are ones that look nice that are mechanical, which I presume are good, that also have key backlighting but they are far too expensive. I read the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 was a good keyboard but it's not available anymore. I don't know if I should keep my current keyboard or just get a new one. Any recommendations on a keyboard (and possible alternatives to mice) are appreciated. Apparently the Logitech G502 Proteus Core won awards this year for best mouse and it looks good by what I could read about it so I might just go with that.
