I'm going to be doing a gaming build with an I-5 4690K, and a singular R9 270 that requires 2 PCI E pins from the PSU. I plan on having 3-4 system fans and a singular HDD, so what would you recommend for the wattage on the PSU? Thanks.

Why is that? I've already bought the R9 270 so I guess I'll be changing processors.

Because it's extremely unbalanced. Buying a $280 CPU and pairing it with a $180 GPU. Get an FX 83xx or an i5 4460

Nah, definitely go with the 4690k. You'd be sorry if you didn't. The R9-270 isn't terrible, but it's not that solid either. If you crossfired with an additional card you'd be rocking at 1080p

I'll definitely be upgrading within the next year or two, but the R9 270 should be sufficient for what I should do. I want to go with the 4690K for future-proofing, especially considering I already have the GPU.

Wait until Q1 2015 and get an i5-5xxx Broadwell if you want to future-proof. You can always grab a cheap G3258 and use that as your CPU until Broadwell comes out. The R9 270 should definitely be swapped out for a better GPU sooner than later. DO NOT CROSSFIRE the 270 because it will be pointless when your VRAM bottlenecks. A 270 will be fine for medium settings now, but you should upgrade it to an R9 290/GTX 970
