the Amd fx 8320 would be a good choice, or even a fx 8350. if you decide to go with intel you could get an intel core i5 3570k for 1155, or a intel core i5 4670k for 1150

Yeah I pretty much only recommend 3 CPUs nowadays.
760K for budget
i5 for high end
i7 for extreme
A shame the Pentium and 860K turned out to be crap. The Pentium lags-spikes like hell in most modern games, and no motherboard supports the 860K out-of-the-box, which sucks since it's a good gamer.

Ooops! Looks like its a 670k. Any info on that would be appreciated. Here is the link http://computers.woot.com/offers/hp-pavilion-amd-fx-3-5ghz-desktop-4?ref=cnt_wp_1_15. The A10 is the same price and i am having a difficult time deciding between the 2.
