Hey! I was thinking if my Intel Core i5 3570K Ivy Bridge (3.4GHz) with stock cooler temperatures are okay
When I'm playing Battlefield 4 on ultra and max cpu usage was 81.7% (average was 61.6% my temps were:
Core #0=Max 68C, Average 62C
Core #1=Max 65C, Average 59.5C
Core #2=Max 65C, Average 59.8C
Core #3=Max 65C, Average 59,2C
Core Max=Max 68C, Average 60.4C

These were with ultra settings, fps capped at 60
With unlimited fps (went up to 200) i got like 70C, but im using capped fps at 60
So is 60-70C okay for Intel Core i5 3570K at 3.4GHz? I am NOT planning to OC.

i have that processor, and when i had the stock cooler my temperature was similar. but not as high as that. mine were only 5-10 degrees smaller. the temps ahould be fine. but mif you are worried about the temp then you could maybe consider getting a better cooler. id recommend the cooler master hyper tx3 as it is very easy to install

Thank you guys, you dont know how relieved I am! I might be getting better cooler at some point, but for now I'm going with this setup cuz it seems to be that temps are under 75C :) Thanks everyone

i contacted Intel on the topic , they said the i5 could stand even 20C more than Tcase , and every i5 can throttle at different Temp . You re fine as long as there is no throttling.

That depends on who you talk to at Intel. 20 different people will give you 20 different answers depending on how they interpret the canned information on their computer screens.

None of them have actually studied the topic at their level, or know what they're talking about. Unless you can get one of their thermodynamics engineers on the phone who's involved specifically in testing and measurements, and is willing to speak illegally outside of his Non Disclosure Agreement, you'll never get any useful information out of a giant corporation that hasn't been revealed in their documentation.

Concerning identical processor variants throttling at different Core temperatures, that's a given since the Digital Thermal Sensors (DTS) within each core have a fairly sloppy accuracy, which is +/-5C, so their statement only makes sense.

Don't spin your wheels on this topic. I've already covered all this ground and so much more within 2,800 hours of research and hands-on testing while studying many hundreds of pages of their documents.
