Hi guys I was just wondering If I could do a crossfire with a AMD HD 7950 and a R9 280

the one im using right now is this one :
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814105030

And since I'm ''supposed'' to have 2048 stream proccesors idk if it'll rather fit with a r9 280 or r9 280x

R9 280 has 1792 Stream Processors wich a normal hd 7950 used to have, but mine seems to have the same as a hd 7970...

The r9 280x has 2048 Stream Processors...

I'm really confused right now I really need to know how to First : check how(Where) much streams proccesors I have

And I need to know If I can crossfire my 7950 w/ r9 280 or r9 280x

Thanks in advance :)

Edit : Btw my bios version is 015.022.000.001

Solution
as long as both cards are 1792 core tahiti chips, they will crossfire. toms recently had an article on the new amd drivers are if i remember correctly, the new drivers have made some good strides in crossfire performance in popular games.

Newegg made a mistake. Check GPU-Z.

And will one crossfire briege be enough, or two would be better ?

The latest drivers use several different methods to combine the cards. If you let it automatically handle it then it will be fine. Where people get headaches is trying to squeeze every last drop of performance out of CFX, disabling ULPS, ect. If you find yourself wanting to do all that, just shoot me a message.

1 for two cards.
