Mouse left click not working properly

I have a Skarkoon darkglider gaming mouse, and when I hold down the left mouse button, it some times stops responding , and often when i click once, it registers as two clicks.

Most likely is mechanical failure of mouse. Does the mouse behave badly in the BIOS too? If so then you've ruled out software problems.

If you are intrepid you can map some other mouse button as left click. If you are like me you buy a new mouse.

It could be that the switch for the left button is going bad. Try going into the settings and change the double-click rate, but I would simply suggest buying a new one (or possibly RMAing that one, if still under warranty). Best of luck.
