Okay so i've been looking around alot and i can't seem to find a solid answer on this. My Pc is a Gateway DX4380G-UW308 300w PSU, CPU is AMD A6 5400K dual-core processor, Graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 7540D. I was looking to upgrade my card to be able to run some of the newer games coming out. Nothing too high, just enough to run it with decent fps. So i did some searching online and found a few threads on this site from about 2 years ago. The conclusion was to get an entry level graphics card suitable for a 300w psu, and that happened to be a 7750hd. Couple problems i ran into sadly. #1 i can't seem to find a Sapphire HD 7750 anywhere, it's gone, poof, all sold out or waaaaay overpriced. #2 everywhere i asked and looked i got mixed answers on whether or not the PSU would be an issue. Some people would say that 300w was fine for a 7750, while others would say that it would messed up my system because of start up spikes, etc and that i shouldn't buy it. So after more looking (and pulling my hair out) i found another 7750, to be exact i found this.

(XFX FX-775A-ZNP4 Radeon HD 7750 Core Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card).

But this raises the ultimate question (dun dun dun) will it work with a 300w PSU? if not can i get some suggestions as to what to buy/what will work?

It'll probably be a pretty poor quality power supply. They make them so they can only run what's built - integrated graphics. Even another 50W can bring them unstuck.
If the card doesn't cost much then give it a go. But prepare for the worst.

According to RealHardTech, a hd7750 PC needs 350W.

GTX 720 & 730 are OK on 300W.

Hey thanks for answering. How well do a 720 and 730? i didn't want to spend too much on a card this holiday, i mostly play older games like Skyrim or Fallout NV, sometimes Witcher 2. Will a 720 or 730 allow me to play some newer releases on at least medium? like DA:I or BF4?
