Hello
I'll be really grateful for your advice
I have a Seagate back up plus 1 Tb external hard drive.

It was working fine then last year in last it wasn't detected. I removed the enclosure that put it in a case. But nothing worked.

A month back, I opened the drive seeing a youtube video and placed the actuator back at its place. Note the drive was spinning.
The drive was being detected but it said G is not accessible.
So I tried to change the permissions by going to properties. It didn't work.
I accessed it on safe mode. There I could access the files but couldn't copy them.
I tried using the drive on another system. Was facing same issue there only difference was that the drive permission changing was taking long and permission of all folder and sub folders were being changed. I had to abort this process as i was too tired.
Next time I plugged in the drive it was really making the explorer crash. I can't open is properties as windows explorer freezes. Also when I try to eject the drive nothing happens. I can't open disk management because it won't load. It has important data 931 GB. Which I can't recover from a recovery program efficiently. Please suggest how to get this drive to work.

Hi there Seagate 11,

Most probably, your HDD has some serious physical issue. Furthermore, you have opened in into a dust contaminated room as scout_03 already mentioned.
My guess would be that your only chance of recovering the data would be to use the services of a data recovery company.
