I've been getting this error after I rebooted my pc due to the wireless being a bit screwy. When the desktop loads, it slowly starts to load the drivers and startup programs, but never manages it before it BSODs with the error "paged fault in nonpaged area"

I have tried windows memory diagnosis, memtest and chkdsk. I have tried telling windows not to cache any memory, I have reset clocks back to standard and disabled as many startup programs as possible.

I have also taken my memory out and tested them in pairs (4 sticks total, one pair newer than the others all same model.) and cleaned out as much dust as possible.

Booting in safemode does not cause a BSOD.

I have had no luck in solving this, so I am assuming it could be either a MOBO or HDD problem. I was hoping somebody could shed some light or provide some suggestions.

Specs:
AMD FX8350@4Ghz
4x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (1.5v 9-9-9-24)
XFX 7950( 900MHz core 5200 memory)
Asus M5A87 MOBO
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 32mb 7200rpm HDD

Solution

It would probably be faster. You may not need to perform a full reformat though, just reinstall Windows overtop of itself.

This particular BSoD is almost always caused by buggy drivers. Do an across the board driver update.
