I am looking into a microcenter bundle for a 4790k and a new motherboard to go along with that.

There are 5 listed with the bundle, one is too much, the other is ASRock so I need your help to pick from the other three. PLEASE!

MSI http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130770

Giga http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128708

ASUS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132118

With ASUS I know I get AI SUITE III which is nice, but if the others are better for their own reasons, I could live without it. Thanks

Doesn't look like you can go wrong with any of them. Out of the three I would personally go with the asus. Asus has a great reputation (as does gigabyte), but it really depends on what features you think you need (asus has fewer sata ports and fewer usb ports, etc.).

Edit: Didn't choose the msi because I'm always a bit wary of msi if I have a choice, I just think you can't go wrong with either asus or gigabyte.

Thank you, I will probably pick your answer but I want to get some more opinions first. Thanks again.

They all have a 3 year warranty too, so you're covered if something does go wrong. I've had my asus board (z87) fail on me in the past, but the rma process wasn't too bad and I was fairly satisfied with the whole ordeal (even though it is a pain to have to replace your parts). More opinions are always a good thing, I agree. Merry Christmas!

I would go MSI Z97 GAMING 5,same tier with gigabyte z97 gaming 7 but much cheaper than gigabyte z97 gaming 7.

Motherboard tier list: Z97 chipset

Tier One-Class B: Enthusiast Level. Premium featured MoBos with SLI capability, M.2 and enough power to run any current CPUs with very high-extreme OCing capabilities. Just a step lower than Extreme Enthusiast boards, they’re no less than feature laden. Solid quality, shall serve you long.

Z97X-Gaming 5 (not to be confused with MX version)
MSI GAMING 5
EXTREME6 (AC as well)
UD5H (BK as well)
Z97-PRO (AC as well)
MAXIMUS VII HERO/ RANGER/ GENE/ IMPACT/ FORMULA (great boards for OCing)
GA-Z97X-SOC
Z97 FTW
Z97X-Gaming 7
MSI GAMING 7
PROFESSIONAL
MPOWER (MAX AC edition as well)
DELUXE (NFC&WLC edition as well)
Gaming 9 AC (ACK as well)
Z97-GD65 Gaming
OC Formula (mATX version included)
PRO GAMER
Z97X-SOC-FORCE (no M.2, but great for OCing, has SATAe)
Sabertooth Mark1/ Mark 2 (no M.2, great for OCing)
G1 SNIPER (No M.2, but this MoBo hit 5Ghz mark stable in some reviews)
Z97 Gryphon

____________________________________________

Tier Two: High end. Great MoBos, SLI capable with good enough thermals and power to take up any CPU, not the best for extreme OCing but do OC very well. Have many premium features as well. Quality is good, no known persistent issues.

Z97X-SLI
MX-Gaming 5
G55 SLI
G45 Gaming
Z97S SLI Plus
