Hello, my monitor is not displaying correctly in 1080p. Before adjusting "fit to screen" option on my monitor settings, the screen overscans and it looks like low tier quality. When I fit it to screen, same low tier quality... just not overscanned. I have spent over 12 hours trying to get this to work! I have installed drivers, INF's, etc for my monitor, motherboard, TV, EVERYTHING. I am extremely frustrated and no one seems to know what to do. It does however come in clearly at 1680x1050, but this resolution is not supported in games and is not 1080p!

Can someone please give me some help?

Solution
If you are running on HDMI now, buy a different (Displayport, VGA - preferably DisplayPort) cord. That eliminates both the cable and the adapters and the software on those particular adapters.
I've seen this in the past on an Intel i5-2500K IGP. Nothing I tried would display 1920x1080. I ended up with the 1680x1050 resolution until I decided to buy a graphics card for the computer. If you've upgraded the Intel Graphics driver, then you've done everything you could. Consider buying a cheap craphics card the provides the same processing power as the Intel grraphics in the processor (Should be less than $100 and worth it not to be aggravated. )

That is just wrong man, I bought this without the intent of ever buying a graphics card. There has to be some fix around... Ugh :/ guess I'll have to wait till pay day Friday... Then cross my fingers

I think the problem is that the HD Graphics detects it as a TV, and not a monitor. Is there a way to override and force it to think it is a monitor, rather than a TV?

But to answer your question, no... I cannot, unfortunately.

Well the monitor runs fine on other consoles, blu ray players etc. Will try updating drivers for monitor. I had not updated drivers for BIOS, am ib process of that right now.

Might this help?
