Hello. Im just learning about computer but know some basic stuff. Im looking to spend $2000 on parts to build a gaming / video editing computer. I prefer intel over AMD. If you could, please leave links to the parts where I could buy them. Thank you so much. I really appreciate the help!

Okcnaline gave you a great build list. You would definitely not be disappointed.

Going the route of having a 5820k will not only be a better CPU for your video editing and overall PC use, it also give you a 2011 socket motherboard, thus giving you access to DDR4 RAM! You could change out your case for maybe an NZXT H440 or something cheaper with a nice build quality. And you could maybe get a Samsung 850 Pro instead of the 840 Evo with the price savings from the case. However, all in all, Okcnaline provided you with a great build for your request in gaming/video editing.

Thanks for your answer! Isnt the intel i7 4770 better for gaming? Thats what ive heard. And are 2 gtx 970s better than 1 gtx 980? Thanks! If anyone ese has a list Id love to see it! Thank you! Happy holidays!

1) No. i5 is all you need for gaming, but then since you are going to edit videos, more cores will be used, which is beneficial to some programs. That is why I chose Haswell-E. Regularly, $1000 is enough to go Ultra@1080p, using GTX 970 and i5-4690K.

2) GTX 970 is indeed better, pricing-wise. +100 more and you will get more performance than 1 GTX 980.
