Hi, well recently I bought parts for my first computer build, sadly the motherboard didn't work and we've just sent it back and we're expecting it back in a month or so.

Seeing as the computer won't be ready for Christmas (yes it's a present for my 13 year old son) I've decided to put the graphics card and psu in his currently used desktop pc, the power supply is a Silverstone Strider Essential ST50F-ES230 500W and the graphics card I put in was a sapphire radeon r9 270x, see the computer never randomly restarted before and I can't find any problems with heat seeing as the hottest anything gets is 50 degrees. Please help me find the problem.

Also here's a log from event viewer of an unexpected shutdown:

Well the old psu is only 300w so that won't really cut it... Any way you think I will be able to test if the psu is faulty?
And I did do a full clean of the drivers for nvidia before installing the graphics cards.
Also I forgot to mention it only turns off when playing games that require power, alot of sound comes from the computer when it's under pressure and 20 minutes later it just shuts off and instantly starts to boot with a safe mode prompt.
