I currently have 2x sticks of crosair vengance 1600 mhz ram equalling 8gb(2x4). I cant run them paralel due to my cpu fan(it's too large and blocks the 3rd and 4th ram slots. The ram runs single channel because of this(meant to run in slot 1/3 or 2/4). Would there be any disadvantage to replacing the two sticks with 1x8gb stick?
Do two sticks run faster then one?
Would I notice a change between 1 stick and two?
Lastly is it going to make a noticable difference that the sticks are running single channel vs dual because of there placement if I was able to swap them around?
