I am building my first system I have a i7 4790k processor and a z97 motherboard. I am looking at the asus strix gtx970 ($387), the mis gaming gtx 970 ($415) and the gigbit gaming gtx 970 ($359). Is there really much different between the 3? Would like to save the money and get the gigabit. thx

They are very similar, the only difference is the cooling and standard overclocking.
strix 1.11 Ghz
msi gaming;: 1.14
gigabyt: 1.18

i dont think this will matter much in FPS ( frames per second ).
Just get the one that gives you the best deal

PS: some are less noisy then others, i believe strix is the most quiet one ( if memory serves correct )

Just curious, but why no EVGA pick. I tend to always go EVGA as their customer support has never let me down. Also, you have the Step-Up program which means you can upgrade to a more powerful card within 3 months should you feel what you purchased is not enough. All you pay is the difference between the two.

you can overclock all 3 without a problem.
If you really wanna overclock to the edge you will have to google a bit, i'm sure there are comparisons to be found

The gigabyte is know to be very good at oc and the asus won't let you down.
