HELP !! wrong connection for new gfx card

HI

I got new graphics card for Christmas ASUS GTX 970 i noticed that the card has a single 8 pin connection, my old card gtx 670 was using 2 6pin connections. Can i use this to plug into one of my 6pin connections then into the 8pin link bellow thanks.

You need to understand the difference between the 6 pin and 8 pin power connectors:

- A 6 pin connector can deliver 75W to the GPU
- An 8 pin connector can deliver 150W to the GPU

The adapter you selected could provide 75W maximum which wouldn't be enough (or marginal) to power a GTX 970.
